Bamboo Bowls and Chopsticks Our bamboo tableware is handmade in Vietnam. The naturally grown bamboo is harvested and stored under water for 100 days in rivers in the country side. Under water, it is kept away from ants and it goes through chemical changes. Then the villagers take the bamboo strips and hand roll them into products. The finished products are sanded and stained. This takes 20 days. Tableware has been made this way for 100 years and is done only in Vietnam. The company that makes these bowls has been doing so for 5 years and supports the workers with good wages and benefits. It is the owners hope to show the world that Vietnam can make quality products. Hot water is fine, but please no dishwasher or microwave. We recommend you use with chopsticks. |
