Guatemala has the finest workmanship in their textiles of all the places I have been. The color combinations in the fabrics are wonderful, the finishing of the items is outstanding. Hand woven items are still made by hand on small looms in the homes of the Mayan villagers. The hand embroidery has been done for hundreds of years. On one item I bought I was told 17 different members of the extended family work on the production of the goods for sale.

Round Crochet Coin. Really fun and a good seller. Many colors and many designs, no 2 the same. Hand made from cotton. G1-3, 3 1/2" across, $3.00 

Heart Crochet Key Ring. Same idea with a key ring. G1-4, 2" x 2", $2.50.

Small Crochet Coin Purse. Rectangular in shape, but not square (hip, in other words). Many uses for your enjoyment. G1-5, 4 1/2" x 3" tall, $2.50

 
Beehive Small Coin. The Beehive is a new style of weaving. It started being made about 5 years ago. Hand woven in homes with a wonderful mix of colors. G1-7, 3" x 4", $2.50.

Beehive Wallet. Always popular wallet in the Beehive style of weaving. G1-8, open 4 1/2" x 7 1/2", $4.

Beehive Large Coin. This is a very handy size bag. Big and colorful. G1-9, 6 1/2" x 7 1/2", $7.

Beehive Small Bag. A nice little passport type bag with an inside compartment on the top and one more on the front. G11-2, 4" x 5 1/2", $5.

Beehive 2 zipper Passport. A bigger version of the Small Bag. It has 2 zipper compartments on the front.  G11-3, 6" x 7 1/2", $6.

 
 

Joyabaj Circle Passport. Same beautiful Huipil design as coin purses above, these bags get noticed everywhere. Lined and very fine. G13-1, 6 1/2" x 7", $12.
